Hayley Mitchell began her dance training at Coppell House of Dance at the age of eleven studying ballet, jazz, lyrical and hip hop. She was in the dance company at CHOD and competed in many dance competitions in the Dallas area. Mrs. Mitchell was also a 3 year member of the Lariettes at Coppell High School and competed in the duet/trio category with her two sisters, where they won 1st place at MA Grapevine, Crowd Pleasers and HTE regional drill team competitions.
After high school Mrs. Mitchell became a member of the world famous Kilgore College Rangerettes. As a Rangerette she performed at the Macy’s Thanksgiving Day parade in 2003, Dallas Cowboys game, Cotton bowl pre-game and half time performance and had the opportunity to perform for President George W. Bush at the Black Tie and Boots Inaugural ball and Inaugural parade. In 2005 she continued her dance training in modern and ballet at Texas Woman’s University studying under Mary-Williford Shade, Sarah Gamblin and Melissa Young. She graduated with a bachelors of Arts and Science in Dance. While attending TWU she was a member of Out on a Limb dance company under L. Brooke Schlecte. Mrs. Mitchell has been a 12 year staff member of the well known drill team company, Marching Auxiliaries also known as MA Dance. Through MA she was given the opportunity to travel the U.S. teaching and choreographing for various dance/drill teams over the summer. MA has also provided the experience of working and choreographing for the Cotton Bowl pregame and halftime show, working closely with the pageantry. Mitchell was also a 2 year instructor for A Dance Force studio in Southlake, TX. She was the company director for the 2009-2010 dance companies, leading them to win many awards at Platinum Dance Competition, LADF and Starbound Talent Competition. Following her career in the studio industry, Mitchell came to Coppell High School in 2010 as a long term substitute for the Silver Stars in the fall and was named the official director in the Spring of 2011. This is Mrs. Mitchell's 9th year as the Silver Star director and she loves working with the freshman squad. Mrs. Mitchell is married to the love of her life and has a 3 year old daughter and 2 year old son.
